Parsonage Renovation Progress Report

Our parsonage renovation project is moving along. Superior Floors in Moscow recently did an excellent job installing the carpeting and vinyl. Here are some photos:

Upcoming projects include installing egress windows in the two basement bedrooms, refinishing the upstairs hardwood floors, and installing window coverings throughout.

Saturday Afternoon Event and Sunday Interview Cancelled

Dear Genesee Lutheran Parish Family,

 

Pastor Joel Skindlov has withdrawn his name from our call process, as he is involved with another church call, and they are going to vote to confirm him this week.

He has offered to pray for our congregation in our process. I said that we appreciated his openness and thanked him for his prayers.

The Sunday interview is cancelled, as well as the Saturday afternoon get-together at the Valley we had planned. The Potluck will also be cancelled, a few of us will bring some refreshments for Fellowship plus there is the ice cream that Mark and Carly Stutzman brought.

If you know of someone who would want to know this information, but is not listed on this email, or who does not have email, please let us know so we might contact them, or just go ahead and contact them yourself. Thank you for spreading this word.

Attending Eastern Washington-Idaho Synod (EWAID) of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America will be especially exciting for Rosanna Cartwright and Verna Studer because they will represent GLP when they vote for the NEW BISHOP of EWAID!

Please read the short bios and philosophies of the seven candidates for bishop that is posted in Fellowship hall. This Weekend Schedule Reminder

Here is a reminder about this weekend schedule.
There has been some confusion about the Potluck Fellowship on Sunday, it is a lunch Potluck not just snacks. I am sorry there some confusion.

April 28-7 P.M. Theology on Tap at the Carter's home, Pastor Helsing and his wife, Devanie will be there (This is the first event of the weekend for getting to meet one of Pastor Candidates)
April 29-11 A.M. Brunch at Genesee Valley Church come and meet Pastor Helsing and his wife, Devanie
April 30-9 A.M. Sunday school, 10 A.M. church services, 11 A.M. Potluck lunch, Pastor Helsing and his wife will be attending church and the potluck, which gives you another chance to come and meet them
