Passover/Last Supper Meal

at Genesee Valley Lutheran

Maundy Thursday, April 17, 7 p.m.

This Maundy Thursday, we will gather to experience a simple meal which Jesus and his disciples might have eaten at the Last Supper and to experience a simple Seder celebration which is traditionally followed by the Jewish people.  A simplified ritual will guide us through the foods and prayers which symbolize the hardships that the People of God had endured and Christ's deliverance.

Foods will be:

  • lamb
  • unleavened bread
  • bitter herbs
  • green herbs
  • haroseth (fruits and nuts)
  • wine
  • as well as nuts, fruits, and olive
